How to Save Your Online Community

Get rid of inactive users!

I recently cleaned up my Meetup (actually 75% done) and got 4 people helping me keeping my 11K Linkedin Group neat.

As far as the Meetup is concerned, I removed inactive members as well as those who never RSVP'd to events. By doing so, I made sure that my communications efforts would go only to those who really want to stay, our evangelists.

To differentiate from the tons of Event Planning communities, we closed down the group and we now approve manually every single candidate. We check their profile and links.

If your community is inactive, skim it down to only those relevant members who really care and you'll get great benefit.
